Certificate in Insurance Sales (Exclusive Career Program for ICICI Prudential)

 

PROGRAM OBJECTIVE

 

Insurance is a big opportunity in a country like India with large population and huge untapped potential.The 41-billion USD Indian life insurance industry, considered to be the fifth largest life insurance market, is growing at a rapid pace. The insurance industry is expected to continue to outpace the rapid economic growth to reach US$ 350-400 billion in premium income by 2020, making India amongst the top three life insurance markets and top 15 non-life insurance markets by the year.

Today insurance industry has emerged as one of the largest employment generation industry. With the continued growth and emergence of private insurance companies, the need for qualified, trained and skilled manpower is on the rise. Industry is in need of lacs of professionals who can carry forward the momentum of growth.

IFBI, Institute of Finance, Banking and Insurance, in association with ICICI Prudential, has designed an industry oriented program for graduates seeking employment in the insurance industry. The objective of the Certificate in Insurance Sales is to create entry level professionals for ICICI Prudential. IFBI is the academic partner for IPRU's "Train & Hire" model. The program would empower the students with skills on sales, customer interaction and relationship building and Agency management skills. The program offers knowledge of the basic foundation blocks of insurance sector as well as an in-depth understanding of the various products and services that the market has to offer.

ABOUT THE PROGRAM

 

Certificate in Insurance Sales (CIS) is a program of 11 working days. CIS aims to create such industry-ready professionals at the entry level who are equipped with the knowledge, skills, selling techniques and attitudes required for becoming an effective insurance professional. ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA and SELECTION PROCESS

 

The candidate should have obtained 

  • Age : Born on or after 1st Feb 1986 ( for the month of Dec-2011 )
  • >=45% in Graduation
  • For SO roles, 2 years of Experience in full time mode.
  • For SSO roles, 4 years of experience in full time mode.
  • MBA graduates not eligible, unless approved by local HR
  • Other terms & conditions as announced earlier or time to time.

Screening of such candidates who are keen to make a career in sales & marketing will be conducted by IFBI and ICICI Prudential

PLACEMENT FACILITY

 

On successful completion of the program, IFBI offers 100% placement assurance to the students. The student would be offered placement with ICICI Prudential as Associate Financial Services Manager ( AFSM ).

PROGRAM SCHEDULE

 

The CIS program consists upto eight hours of class room contact for six days in a week in the full time mode.

In addition to the formal classroom sessions, students may be required to participate Assignments, Self -paced e-learning, Case-studies, Simulation exercises, Role-plays, Information Search and Analysis (ISAS) and other reference work.

EVALUATION AND CERTIFICATION

 

The classroom teaching phase of the program is evaluated. Tests, quizzes, assignments, and project-work form the evaluation instruments during the classroom phase. The transcript finally received by the student reflects scores obtained in all the courses.

To qualify for the award of the Program title, candidates should have scored a minimum of 50% marks in the classroom phase. Tests during the classroom phase are administered through Online Learning and Training System.
