Credit as a percentage of GDP also grew considerably. This reflects the increased lending to various industries/economic activities, which has accelerated trade and economic development of the country.

 Credit management addresses a very diverse field of credit-related functions, beginning with consumer credit requests to addressing multi-dimensional managing the credit requirements of large corporate entities to collecting delinquent debts.

 There has been a renewed focus on financing small and medium enterprises, which contribute significantly to employment and in export earnings besides diversifying the banks’ credit risk

 This has resulted in a huge demand for trained professionals in financing of small and medium enterprises.  This has become a very important business need for the industry. As a result there is an increasing need for skills among professionals in areas of understanding financial needs of large corporate and SMEs, proper assessment of their requirements and appreciation of risks involved for servicing these segments.



In order to meet the growing need for trained professionals who are first-day, first-hour ready in the field of SME Lending, Religare Finvest in collaboration with IFBI announces Certificate Program in SME Lending (Sales)-CPSL .

 The program will cover deeper appreciation of the special challenges faced by the segment and will address the specific skill-set needed for assessment and management of risks associated with financing this segment. The course will help gain in-depth understanding of concepts and practices. As a result it will enable professionals to engage with clients, articulate domain knowledge and carry out various functions in the field.

 This program has been designed specifically for graduates aspiring for a growing career in BFSI industry:

 IFBI and RFL will provide the selected candidates with a Conditional Offer Letter (Conditional offer letter will mention that candidates will be placed with RFL upon successful completion of CPSL program). On successful completion of the 2-month program, RFL will offer letter of employment to the candidates.



Age: Less than equal to 28 years

Academic Qualification: 

  • Graduation/Post Graduation Score >=40%.
  • Regular and Correspondence Graduation allowed
  • Other terms & conditions as applicable.



Candidates will have to appear for IFBI’s interview round (, which is conducted by a specialized faculty panel) Group discussion and RFL Interview. Selected candidates will be offered conditional appointment letter with terms and conditions,  at the time of enrollment for CPSL program.



The CPSL program consists of 30days of residential training at IFBI campus. On successful completion of the campus training, On-The-Job-Training (OJT) will be initiated.

OJT is conducted at RFL premises for duration of 30 days.

In addition to the formal classroom sessions, students may be required to participate in collaborative projects and assignments along with e-learning and other reference work. To complete the program, students may have to work on some local holidays.



The classroom phase of the program is evaluated. Test, quizzes, assignments and project work form evaluation instruments during classroom phase.

The transcript finally received by the student reflects scores obtained in all the courses. Tests during the classroom phase are administered through on-line Learning and Training System. Ample opportunities are given to the students to improve their performance in the tests. The students can log on to www.ifbi.com/student/ to access all details pertaining to their academic association with IFBI.

To qualify for the award of the program title, candidates should score >60% aggregate and fulfill all academic and performance guidelines.
