PROGRAM OBJECTIVE 

The objective of the Post Graduate Diploma in Branch Banking (PGDBB) program is to build a pool of modern Banking professionals for Karur Vysya bank, who can sustain the growing momentum of the sector and help the bank to achieve new levels of profitability and customer responsiveness.

IFBI’s unique training methodology focuses on building skills in the learner. This Skill-centricity is achieved through Action Classrooms, Multi-modal learning and Industry Immersion where the teacher is more a Trainer-Facilitator bringing out latent talent and fostering skill development, thus creating first-day-first hour industry-ready entry level professionals for the bank.

ABOUT THE PROGRAM

The PGDBB is a one month program with 8 hours/day of full time class work. The program is unique in both its content as well as its methodology. The Programs blends core domain knowledge and usable skill requirements with technology familiarity, customer handling, sales and marketing skills, effective communication and infectious positive attitude. Thus program is designed in the context of modern-day Banking Domain knowledge, hands-on application-orientation, technology-familiarity and customer-service.

PLACEMENT FACILITY  

On successful completion of the program the student will be eligible to join as Assistant Manager (Probation), Scale I cadre at at Karur Vysya Bank. Candidates will be offered a salary as per Indian Banking Association(IBA) Norms. CTC is approximately expected to be Rs. 4 Lacs p.a.”               

For successful completion and placement:

• Student should clear all the assessments of IFBI with >= 60% 

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA AND SELECTION PROCESS-Jan 2013

• Age: Born on or after 1st Feb-1987
• >=50% in  BE/B.TECH/PG
• Post Graduate Candidates ( MBA /MCA / MCOM/ MSC/ MA etc. ) or Engineering Graduate ( BE /BTech )  from any recognized Indian University, No Correspondence. 

Application Process 

All candidates seeking admissions for PGDBB Programs need to apply in the prescribed IFBI Application Form. The candidate should carry the following photocopies at the time of application and the original document at the time of Interview:

1. Photocopies of Class X, XII, first year, second year & Final year mark Sheets
2. Proof of Date of Birth (copy of class X certificate / PAN card / Passport / Voter id. / Driving License)
3. Work experience papers (If applicable).
4. Application fees :500/-

Admission Process

All eligible candidates will be put through IBPS test. Students who clear the test will appear for interview by IFBI. Selected candidates will be put through a final interview by Karur Vysya Bank .On selection, conditional offer will be issued by the bank and IFBI.  

Registration

Candidates who have been issued a program offer need to submit the admission / registration fees within the next 2 working days. In the event of any delay, the program offer may be withdrawn and it may be offered to a waitlisted candidate. Selected candidates should confirm their acceptance by paying non-refundable Admission Fee as applicable. The fee can be paid in cash or through, Credit /Debit card, Cheque or Demand Draft. 

EVALUATION AND CERTIFICATION 

Classroom training, performance is evaluated via tests, quizzes, assignments and project-work, while during internship; the candidates are evaluated based on the performance at work and on their professional personality.
